Phang Nga: Stay for Cheap in Thailand’s Hidden Paradise

Written by Zarin Tasnim
Thailand has become one of the most popular countries to visit in the past 20 years, and for good reason too. With mountainous regions for outdoor enthusiasts to the north, Bangkok for urbanites in the center, and tropical coastlines for divers and beach bums to the south, Thailand has something for everyone. Unfortunately, the influx of tourism means higher prices, crowded towns, and the influence of western culture throughout the country.

Why Choose Phang Nga
Fortunately not every place has been completely taken over by tourists. Just an hour or two drive from some of the most famous hotspots like Phuket or Khao Lak, Phang Nga offers natural wildlife, unpolluted beaches, and cheap and authentic local cuisine. And the best part, the affordability.
All you have to do is take a bus an hour and a half north from Phuket to find Phang Nga, where you’ll find a multicultural and historical town filled with Buddhist temples, Taoist shrines, and Muslim mosques.
